About Consigning
Salvage Goods occasionally will take on consignment pieces depending on the piece and room availability. Our fees are 45% of the selling price. If we choose to display your item, we give the item 3 months to sell. After the three month time frame, we will ask you to take the item back t make room for new inventory. Salvage Goods wants to help you earn money from old items you no longer want but understand room in the shop is a premium.

About Donating
The corporate thrift shops in the area are for profit places operating under the non-profit umbrella, even if their names would "suggest" they are aiding the community; they offer no community support and according to employees, offer less than stellar working conditions. People go to thrift shops to purchase items that help them save money over retail. Lately thrift shops have been charging antique store prices for items they get from you. Thus not being true to the thrift name they hide behind. These precious items you are donating for free are being sold to those in the community at premium prices, helping crush true small business owners that are trying to live out their passion. Salvage Goods offer total transparency and will be involved in community events that aid the community it resides in. We will post events on the site as we organize them. Heidi has spent the last 17 years running a very successful non-profit for domestic abuse providing cost-free aid to those that need it.. We know how to support the community. The other added benefit is we will honor the pieces you donate, giving them providence and displaying them proudly an yes, using a percentage of money to fund those community events.
