1930-40’s rare vintage metal litho cake carrier, with sunflowers & yellow cover and latching metal cake plate (area where the cake would fit measures about 10" in diameter x 5" tall). Carrier handle slips under bottom of plate. 
This has some wear, scratching and light rust spotting to both pieces. It’s in good vintage condition for its age. Has no maker's marks that we could find. This is a one of a kind survivor from a really cool retro era. Perfect to use for your next party or for an old farmhouse/retro/vintage home.
